Ok guys, so I’m not a huge fan of fall (mainly because of what comes after-winter!). But I do have to give credit where credit is due. Mainly apples, apple pies and apple cider 😉 All those yummy fall foods are always what the doctor ordered! They seem to hit the spot and always have you craving blanket scarves and nights by the fire. A little #basic but oh so good!

It’s still been a little on the warm side here in Montreal but I still wanted to find a drink that captured that fall essence but could be drank, well now! I decided to mix in my favourite combo of sparkling wine and St-Germain liqueur. Originally I wasn’t sure how it would taste but I was a quick convert- guys this is so good! You definitely taste a lot of the cider but the bubbles help lighten it up and the St-Germain gives it a little something else. It’s perfect for fall brunches, cocktail parties or just a girl’s night in.

If you’re an apple cider fan like me, it’s sure to be a new favourite! And if you’re a bubbles fan (also like me) you’ll love it as well!

Read on for the recipe and cheers!!

Ps this is one of my favourite kind of cocktails- a simple one! There’s only three ingredients making it so simple to put together!

Apple Cider Mimosas

ingredients per one drink

You’ll need:

  • 3 ounces sparkling wine a cava or prosecco will work just fine!
  • 3 ounces apple cider
  • 1 ounce St-Germain Elderflower Liquer

In a wine glass or flute, pour in 3 ounces of apple cider. Add in 1 ounce of St-Germain. Top with 3 ounces of sparkling wine. depending on your taste and size of glass, you can always add more or less bubbles!

Garnish with apple slices and serve.

So simple but this combination of three ingredients is just perfect! Cheers!
