A few foundations and concealers I’m loving these days!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten a lot pickier with the products I use, particularly on my face! And as a blogger, I’m fortunate enough to have tried countless beauty products I otherwise wouldn’t have had a chance to. All this to say, I’ve tried quite a few concealers and foundations. There have been cakey ones that lasted an hour (not so good!) and some that have literally crumbled on my face. Not so good at all!

For all the bad, there have also been amazing ones. Full coverage that are super lightweight, easy to apply and best of all, ones that fully hide those dark circles. Yes please.

I’ve rounded up the best of the best (well that I’ve tried so far!) and I’m sharing them with you below.

Here’s what I’m loving

Burt’s Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation

I was really excited to try this one out as I’m a huge Burt’s Bees fan. This foundation is 98.9 percent natural, meaning you can feel comfortable putting it on your face. If non toxic natural makeup is your thing, this foundation is going to be perfect for you! Texture wise it felt the same as any other foundation- the fact that it’s made with natural ingredients didn’t change anything. It also went on light and was pretty full coverage. It’s paraben free as well, which is always a good thing.

Things to know: This foundation comes in 12 shades and retails for under $20 making it a great choice for your face and your wallet! Shop it here

Dior Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation with SPF 35

This has got to be one of my favourite foundations! It was my first foray into Dior Foundations and I have to be honest, I’m hooked. I’ve been using the Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation for about 7-8 months now and it’s amazing. Full coverage, but it feels so luxurious and light on your skin. It’s a matte finish that comes in over 20 shades and while it’s on the pricier side of things, it’s well worth every dime. It’s my foundation of choice for taking blog photos, events and evenings out.

Things to know: This foundation has a SPF 35 which makes it an even better choice. Shop it here

Dior Airflash Spray Foundation

This was my first bottle of spray foundation and to be honest I was a little nervous when I first got it. However I love how light and airy it feels and the great airbrush effect it leaves on your skin. Airbrush is always a good thing!! Super light coverage that just hides all your flaws and even gives you a little glow. This is a great option for day time when you want some coverage but not looking for a full foundation.

Things to know: You can apply it directly onto your skin, however I like to spray it onto a damp beauty blender. It retails for $78. Shop it here

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer

Anything that has the word Airbrush in the title is a winner in my books. Benefit is always spot on with their products and this concealer is on the top of my list. It’s a lightweight soft focus concealer- let’s use that word airbrush again! This is also a great concealer to layer with- you can put a thicker one on bottom and then use the Airbrush Concealer to get that soft look on top.

Things to know: This concealer comes in three shades and retails for $27. Shop it here

Dior Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer

This is my go to concealer for day to night- it is so easy to put on and great to layer. Similar to its matching foundation, it has a matte finish. At $34 it is a little pricer for a concealer but a little lasts a long way. I’ve had my most recent one for quite some time now and there’s still a bit left in it! It has a built in applicator so it’s also great for travel or to throw in your bag for touch ups. This one is also extremely easy to blend, and because it’s liquid, there’s no cakey finish.

Things to know: I use shade 030 and it was pretty much made for my skin! Shop it here

Nars Velvet Matte Foundation Stick

Ok so this technically is a foundation but I use it as a foundation and concealer together. Medium coverage with a velvety matte finish, it has a little touch up blender attached to it, making it great for last minute beauty fixes. It’s super creamy and you can barely feel it on your face. It also makes a great contour stick if you get it in a darker shade than your usual. I love buildable foundations and this is definitely one of them. I prefer it for days where I want some coverage but don’t want to feel like I have makeup on. It feels luxurious because of the velvet touch, and I just love it. It definitely works for this 33 year old!

Things to know: The attached sponge is washable and the whole product retails for $55. You can also use a lighter shade as a highlighter. Shop it here
